Herzog Glass has become the first glazing contractor in Washington state, and the 70th overall, to earn North American Contractor Certification. NACC is an ANSI-accredited, third-party credential that recognizes architectural glass and metal contractors who adhere to best practices for quality, safety and business operations. By earning NACC, Herzog Glass affirmed its commitment to excellence and adherence to industry-leading standards in the glazing profession.
About Herzog and the process
During six months of preparation, Herzog Glass underwent a series of assessments to document and implement written procedures in a quality management system, a requirement of all certified contractors. To maintain certification, Herzog Glass will be reevaluated annually to confirm its business and glazing practices remain at the high standards NACC requires.
Herzog Glass completes interior and exterior glazing projects for commercial, industrial and residential clients, and has built a reputation for its work. The company recently installed the podium-level exterior glazing and all interior glass at the new Summit building at the Washington State Convention Center, and performed the full interior and exterior glazing scope at the recently renovated Space Needle. Herzog Glass is a signatory member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 5, employing glaziers of Local Union 188.

About NACC
Since its 2015 launch, the NACC program has certified 70 glazing subcontractors in 23 U.S. states and Canada. Over 25 more companies are progressing toward certification in 2024. Glazing contractors can earn the NACC credential in one or more of eight categories based on the company’s operations: interior and exterior entry systems, interior glazing, building envelope low-rise, building envelope high-rise, horizontal glazing, active glass, and service work. Herzog Glass earned NACC in all eight categories.
