To meet increased demand for fire-rated glass in hollow metal and wood doors, Air Louvers, a division of Activar Construction Products Group, is now an original equipment manufacturer partner of Technical Glass Products, a brand of Allegion. The expanded distribution provides architects, glaziers and other building and design professionals with quick access to a wider range of fire-rated glazing solutions.
As a result, Air Louvers offers TGP's FireLite, FireLite Plus, FireLite NT and WireLite NT fire-rated glass from its facilities in Bloomington, Minnesota, and Commerce, California.
About the fire-rated glass
FireLite is a clear and wireless glass ceramic offering fire protection. Fire ratings for FireLite, FireLite Plus and FireLite NT range from 20 to 180 minutes, and all pass the required hose stream test. In addition, FireLite Plus and FireLite NT offer high-impact safety ratings (meeting CPSC 16 CFR 1201, Category II requirements). FireLite products feature TGP's ultraHD technology for improved color, clarity and surface quality.
Additionally, WireLite NT, an alternative fire-rated solution for select applications, is an impact-safety-rated (ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201) glazing product that also provides fire ratings for up to 90 minutes with required hose stream test. WireLite NT is listed for use in doors, sidelites, transoms and borrowed lites.
