According to a report by the Winston-Salem Journal, Assa Abloy will be closing a Charlotte, North Carolina facility, resulting in the elimination of 87 jobs.
The Assa Abloy Americas Residential Inc. affiliate submitted the notice to the North Carolina Commerce Department. It affects the Spectrum Brands facility at 15040 Choate Circle.
The manufacturer said the first 20 job eliminations are scheduled to begin on or about March 22 and continue over a 14-day period. Additional layoffs will take place through July 28.
