Cardinal Glass Industries Inc. announced the consolidation and expansion of Cardinal CT Company’s Custom Tempering Operations in the Western U.S. Less than two years removed from the acquisition of the Dixon, California, tempering facility, Cardinal CT has completed the planned building expansion, enhanced floor layout and new equipment installations at this site increasing its capacity, efficiency and productivity.
Improvements from expansion
These improvements, combined with new equipment investments in Moreno Valley, California, and Casa Grande, Arizona, will enable Cardinal CT to re-deploy all personnel and equipment from its Los Angeles facility to its three other Western locations. Once the relocation of people and resources is complete, the Los Angeles custom tempering facility will be closed.
This consolidation will better position Cardinal CT to service the current and future customer base in the thriving Western region. Cardinal CT has multi-line tempering facilities located in Northern and Southern California and its facility in Casa Grande, AZ houses Cardinal CT’s newest and largest tempering furnace, which was placed into operation in January of this year.
A strengthening consolidation
“Cardinal CT’s strategic investments are delivering results for our valued employees and customers,” says Todd French, president, Cardinal CT Company. “This consolidation will strengthen our ability to deliver and sustain the high level of customer service and support we are known for.”
