Eurotech Vertriebs GmbH from Geislingen invested $4.12 million in its new building. The state government has contributed more than $450,000 in funds, and the company held a ground-breaking ceremony on May 4.
Over the course of the next year, new production and storage space and a two-story office building will be established on the 82,000-square-foot plot at Maybachstraße 7, located on the site of the Dornbrunnen industrial park in Rosenfeld. Construction is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021.
“We have had to expand our physical capacities to keep up with the increased requirements of our industry and the large volume of orders we have been receiving,” says Thomas Schulz, managing director.
Eurotech specialises in vacuum, lifting and transport technologies. Peter Bunnenberg founded the Rosenfeld-based company in 1996; its headquarters moved to Geislingen in 2001. Over time, the company leased more and more storys of the building it occupies. Despite the expansion of the top floor and leasing of an additional hall in Balingen, sthere was a need for additional space. Eurotech spent about three years looking for a suitable building to rent, but could not find one. Eventually, it decided to construct its own.
The advantages of the new building are clear, say officials: a dedicated, new building is resource-efficient, energy-efficient and offers a lot more space. These are perfect conditions for healthy and sustainable growth.
The construction project is planned and managed by Bau-Cooperation in Offenburg, which anticipates a building period of approximately one year. The management and nearly 40 employees of Eurotech are excited to move into the new facilities soon. They are confident that the project will adhere to its intended schedule despite the coronavirus pandemic.
