The Façade Tectonics Institute has appointed Katerina Hojgrova Neme as its new executive director, replacing Valerie Block, who has served as the interim executive director since 2021.
Neme's experience and responsibilities
Neme comes to FTI from UK's Built Environment Media (former World Architecture News), where she has been since 2007. Here, she was U.S. West Coast correspondent and a manager of TenderStream, a global provider of news, business information, project leads and industry analysis for the architecture, engineering and construction community.
Neme will oversee all FTI events in 2024, including virtual webinars, regional forums and the World Congress, which will take place in Salt Lake City in October. Besides her responsibilities with internal committees, she will work to bolster the membership and sponsorship programs.
