GGI Announces Installation of New DX-3 Digital Printing Technology

DX-3

GGI (General Glass International) announced the enhancement of its manufacturing capabilities through the recent installation of new fabrication equipment. The company integrated Dip-Tech’s DX-3 Series digital printer and a Ypsos Vertical Glass CNC into its facility.

About the expansion and its goals

The DX-3 digital glass printer hopes to open up a new era for GGI's Alice direct-to-glass printing brand. Designed to cater to architects, designers and the public art community, the DX-3 has a 12-color system, facilitating many color configurations and color changeovers. This advancement optimizes productivity with its running speed and split conveyor system and also enables the utilization of conductive and precious metal inks alongside traditional inks. It also includes large format and high-resolution printing up to >2880 DPI.

Complementing the DX-3 printer, the Ypsos Vertical Glass CNC empowers GGI to execute intricate cuts, complex shapes and accurate finishes. With the ability to configure glass ranging from 2 millimeters to 19 millimeters, GGI's focus primarily lies on 10 mm and 12 mm glass to cater to high demand for custom heavy glass fabrication for a more diverse range of applications.

This expansion of services aims to enable GGI to undertake a broader spectrum of projects.
