Glasswerks is integrating Diamon-Fusion International’s glass coating technology into its production facility. The easy-clean coating will be machine-applied by Glasswerks through the FuseCube Express glass coating machine, in order to ensure coverage on both sides of the glass.
What Glasswerks says
"Partnering with the team at DFI on this new initiative allows Glasswerks to differentiate its product offering. The Diamon-Fusion coating applied through the FuseCube Express provides consistent coverage, double the protection, and maximum value – all of which are value-added benefits we can pass to our customers." – Robert Mastrapa, Vice President, Glasswerks.
How the process works
Designed to be ultra-thin and invisible, Diamon-Fusion is a two-step coating process that chemically bonds to the glass, making it easier to clean while protecting against stains and corrosion. The coating comes with a limited lifetime warranty on residential surfaces and a 15-year limited warranty on commercial surfaces and can be applied to a wide range of glass surfaces. The team at Glasswerks will apply the Diamon-Fusion coating on their line of shower doors and glass railings.
In addition to automating the coating process, the FuseCube Express also uses a chemical vapor deposition process that fuses the Diamon-Fusion coating onto both sides of the glass. This process is designed to ensure a uniform coating application on every piece of glass treated inside the machine.
