Wolf Point East, located in Chicago, is a 60-story, luxury apartment located at the fork where the south and north branches of the Chicago River meet the main branch with views going both ways. It is the third development on the historic 3.85 acres of land known as Wolf Point. The tower includes 625,055 residential square feet for a total of 698 residential units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments.
Wolf Point East’s façade features 341,000 square feet of Harmon’s UCW8000 curtain wall system, with a combination of multi-lite units with zero siteline vents, horizontal feature panels and vertical aluminum fins in 3-inch, 6-inch and 9-inch depth configurations.
Harmon’s scope also included custom louvered horizontal sunshades and a roof screen of 3-story high radiused vertical aluminum panels. The podium included curtain wall, swing doors, revolver doors, Panda door, glass vestibules and sunshades.
The architects were Pelli Clarke Pelli and Pappageorge Haymes Partners. Glass was fabricated by Viracon.
