NGA Glass Conference Heads to the Pacific Northwest in July

The National Glass Association is heading to Tacoma, Washington with its NGA Glass Conference, happening July 25-27, at the Marriott Tacoma Downtown. This is NGA’s first event to take place in the Pacific Northwest and response has been positive with pre-registration up by 20 percent, according to organizers.

In a letter to past NGA Glass Conference attendees, Urmilla Sowell, NGA vice president, advocacy & technical services, wrote, “Our conversations and presentations have never been more relevant as changes in the energy and security realms continue to evolve quickly. There have also been shifts at the federal level and we’re going to talk strategy where agencies like the General Services Administration are concerned.”

The program for the event also includes meetings of NGA’s Forming, Fabricating and Advocacy Committees, the latest technical and codes highlights, industry collaboration updates, a tour of Technical Glass Products’ facility and visit to the Space Needle, and a reception at the Tacoma Glass Museum.

Conference registration for programming, tours, receptions, and breakfast/lunch for all three days is  $775 for NGA members and $975 for nonmembers. To encourage local participation and to provide a sampling of NGA Glass Conference activities to those who have limited time or haven’t attended before, NGA is offering a one-day registration option on Tuesday, July 25 for $250.
