Press Glass has announced a consolidation of production capabilities and capacities at its facilities in Stoneville, North Carolina and Ridgeway, Virginia. As a result, Press Glass will now fabricate and deliver all products from its fabrication facility in Ridgeway, VA.
“This decision aligns with our vision of streamlining operations and positioning the company for sustained success in the coming years," says President Maciej Migalski.
Reasoning behind consolidation
The production capacity at the Ridgeway, VA facility has been significantly increased thanks to the recent installation of a cutting table, edge processing line and tempering furnace. To further increase Press Glass’ capabilities in Virginia, equipment and supporting personnel from the company’s Stoneville, NC facility will be immediately moved to its Ridgeway plant.
“This change will drive growth across all market segments, including insulated glass, heavy glass, and all-glass systems. It will also enable us to increase efficiencies and overall production capacity, enhance internal processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation,” says Migalski.
A crucial part of this plan involves the consolidation and centralization of all office functions. As a result, several administrative functions will also transition to Ridgeway, VA. This change will allow PRESS GLASS to operate as a cohesive team from a single location, aiming to foster improved collaboration and synergy across departments.
“This initiative represents a critical step toward Press Glass’ long-term goal of becoming a market leader in North America. It also positions us to execute further growth plans, including the continued expansion of the Ridgeway, VA facility and the addition of new production capacities,” says Migalski.
