Roto North America works to be consistently aware of the importance of manufacturing to its community and the economy. Manufacturing is a central part of Connecticut’s economy, and the company makes sure to actively participate in activities, committees, and events that help support and further Connecticut’s manufacturing initiative.
Roto's efforts
Roto is part of many different organizations such as the South Central Manufacturing Partnership; who focuses on solving issues in the manufacturing industry in South Central Connecticut, Connex Connecticut; a platform that connects manufacturers and suppliers to improve supply-chains, and is also a member of the Connecticut Manufacturing Ambassador, which allows the company to share its input and help solve manufacturing challenges.
The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and the South Central Manufacturing Partnership work closely with Roto and have visited Roto to discuss the challenges and advancement of manufacturing in Connecticut. Roto has also hosted Connecticut’s Chief Manufacturing Officer, Paul Lavoie, into the plant and facilities and join him during monthly manufacturing webinars.
In addition to collaboration with key members of the Connecticut manufacturing initiative, Roto has also participated in events throughout the state. Some of these events include the Connecticut Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology Career fair, the “Meet the Manufacturers” networking event, the “Made in America” breakfast and manufacturing sessions, and the South Central Manufacturing Partnership’s Career Awareness Initiative to connect companies with high school students to share manufacturing opportunities. Roto's also participated in the Transition Academy’s Internship Program and provided manufacturing internship opportunities for individuals with behavioral and intellectual differences.
While Roto is focused and active in helping the community and the economy further manufacturing, Roto is also implementing advanced manufacturing technologies in its facilities through machines such as the 5 axis laser machine at Roto Frank of America and Frech Die cast machine at Roto Fasco Canada.
