Christian Bako has been appointed vice president of marketing and development for Saint-Gobain. With this, he joins the executive committee, reporting to Anne Hardy, chief innovation officer.
Bako's responsibilities and experience
In his new position, Bako will play a key role to accelerate growth and foster innovation across the company, as well as continue to step up its solutions mindset and actions.
Bako started his career at Roto Frank, where he held sales and general management roles in Germany, Spain and France. He joined Saint-Gobain in 2017 as chief digital officer of the glass business in Germany, where he subsequently became general manager of Glassolutions. In 2020, he was appointed general manager of a high-performance solutions business for Germany and Austria before becoming, in 2021, general Mmanager for Central Europe.
He replaces Cordula Gudduschat, who now becomes general manager of Isover and Rigips Germany.
