How NGA Member Companies will Benefit from the EPA Grant

NGA was selected for a $2.1 Million EPA Grant to help advance sustainability initiatives including the availability and quality of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for architectural glass. At NGA Glass Conference: Milwaukee, attendees will learn more details about the four focus points of the grant, what it means for NGA member companies and other industry stakeholders and how to get involved.

Panel Presentation: VIG Market Research

A panel of industry experts will discuss the current state of the market for Vacuum Insulating Glazing, review the VIG products available, the relevant standards, building code implications, and on-going research.

Recyclability & Sustainability Discussion

Is recycling architectural glass good for the industry? Why aren’t we all doing it? Can the risks be managed, and can it be done economically?

This discussion will focus on how attendees can get involved in keeping architectural glass out of landfills and transforming it into viable recycled products. Attendees will have access to resources NGA’s Recycling and Sustainability task group are creating, and will be asked to help formulate our “Advocacy Ask” to legislators.

On-Line, Non-contact Stress Measurement in Heat-Treated Glass

Up until now, breaking glass has been the only way to test glass quality, wasting product and time. New technology is changing that. Participants will learn how to test quality without breaking glass with equipment for the factory floor, using non-destructive glass testing technology.
