Tristar Glass, headquartered in Catoosa, Oklahoma, will expand its Texas operations with a new 180,000-square-foot facility in Dallas. The company's existing Texas location is in Houston.
What Tristar says
“It's both a reactive and proactive move for Tristar,” says Tim Kelley, President of Tristar Glass. “While this expansion is going to help better serve our existing customers in the immediacy, these new capacities and capabilities are going to reinforce our leadership position in the local market and enable us to further expand our customer base and reach.”
About the expansion
The company expects its new Dallas facility to be fully operational by the end of the summer. Equipment installation will begin at the beginning of March, centering around new technologies consisting of Glaston Corp.'s new Jumbo Series Chinook Flat Glass Tempering Furnace prepped with the latest autopilot operator controls and the most advanced LiteSentry SoftSolution distortion and anisotropy measurement systems. All of this is fed via an Ashton Batchmasta SeamMax-X Pro automated-seaming/batching system and a Benteler Maschinenbau, Glass Processing Equipment jumbo TecWasher washing machine.
With expanded capabilities, Tristar will be even better equipped to be a first choice for high-quality glass in the Texas and Oklahoma market areas. Tristar has more expansion plans in the works.
