Trosifol/Kuraray cancelled its participation in glasstec 2020, according to an announcement on the company’s website.
“The cancellation was a very difficult decision for us because we have been a regular guest at this leading glass trade fair in Düsseldorf for many decades,” says Reisuke Nakada, director global marketing PVB Division. “But we have to respect the safety of our partners and employees. This is an important element of Kuraray's global philosophy, which places the health and safety of employees and their families first.”
"In our corporate philosophy we confirm that ‘providing value to society’ is our mission, while keeping our utmost focus on ensuring the safety and health of employees, their families and all other stakeholders,” said Masaaki Ito, president of Kuraray, in a speech to the Kuraray Group's worldwide employees. “As president of the Kuraray Group, I promise to make every effort and deliver support to protect everyone's health and safety. Now is the time to show our common strengths as a Kuraray group."
Trosifol will now use the resources available to focus on its own business, to implement innovations faster and to find new ways of addressing customer requirements, say officials. Digitization is also being advanced. Existing online resources are now supplemented by new tools, a newly implemented web shop and online training courses were set up for customers and partner companies. These online trainings, in particular, are now a major focus and are being expanded into an effective way of addressing customers and their needs.
