Lance Howard

Permasteelisa Group announced a North American expansion with the acquisition of key business assets from Benson Industries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Supported by Permasteelisa Group’s global resources, Benson will operate as a standalone business within Permasteelisa North America. Lance Howard, who has served as president of Benson since 2016, has been named chief executive officer of the combined North American business.

About the acquisition

Benson  was established in Portland, Oregon in 1926, and maintains offices across California, Washington and Oregon with additional design and engineering facilities worldwide, including in Singapore, the Philippines and Mexico. Over the past several decades, Benson has worked on many iconic projects, including the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, and The Wilshire Grand Center in Los Angeles.

With the acquisition of Benson, Permasteelisa Group significantly expands the size and scope of its operations across North America, growing its footprint in several key markets. Together, customers of both businesses will now be able to leverage a broader suite of global capabilities and offerings.
