Dip-Tech will sell its digital printer business to Kerajet S.A., according to its parent company Vibrantz Technologies. DipTech’s digital ink business is not part of the sale. The deal is expected to close within the next 60 days. Kerajet is a manufacturer of digital printers, and based in Spain.
Ferro Corp., a provider of coatings, acquired Dip-Tech in 2017. Ferro was then acquired by Prince International Corp. earlier this year in April. After the purchase, Prince International combined with Chromaflo Technologies Corp. to rebrand as Vibrantz.
Vibrantz will provide further information to Dip-Tech customers upon the closing of the transaction. Until that time, customers should continue transacting with DipTech as usual.
What people are saying
“This sale allows Vibrantz to redouble our focus on the production and development of digital inks for Kerajet and other digital printer manufacturers,” says D. Michael Wilson, Vibrantz president and chief executive officer. “It also helps ensure our unmatched glass expertise and capabilities continue to grow in support of the digital printing market.”
“Kerajet’s expertise in the ceramics market and two decades of experience in digital printers well positions the company to take over Dip-Tech’s digital printer business,” says Matthias Bell, president of performance coatings at Vibrantz.
