Window Profile
Aspekt+ 1800 features a strength-enhancing sash in the company’s RAU-FIPRO glass-fiber reinforced polyvinyl chloride material. The new Aspekt+ 1800, an addition to the Aspekt 1800 casement window portfolio, is designed to meet stringent Passive House requirements and address the growing demand for larger windows in residential and commercial construction, according to company officials. Its co-extruded triple-seal technology limits thermal conduction and ensures a tight frame-to-sash seal with a significantly reduced U-value. An outswing casement window, Aspekt+ 1800 is available in a wide range of colors.

Hinges
Roto introduced the new Roto FS Kempton range. The stainless steel 4-bar hinges are used for top-hung and side-hung applications, are suitable for all frame materials, and can be used up to a 396-pound sash weight. Outward opening windows with integrated friction hinges both limit the possible opening angle of the window and ensure that the sash is held open in any opening angle.

Thermal systems
Winco Window Co. introduced its most thermally advanced window series, the 8325 series. All framing members are thermally broken with two glass reinforced polyamide struts that stitch the two aluminum extrusions together. Thermal strut involves two separate extrusions and joins them through the use of engineered structural polyamide. Both the inside and outside aluminum profiles are extruded independently with a cavity that will ultimately receive the strut. Each profile can be coated or anodized independently, allowing for design flexibility and potential cost savings.
