As Pilkington Architectural halts production of the Pilkington Planar system in St. Helens, U.K., as of Dec. 31, 2021, W&W Glass announced it will offer its own glass engineered solutions. They include everything from unitized curtain wall to custom storefronts, skylights and more. Company officials also say that all warranties on existing manufactured projects will be honored based on the terms of Pilkington’s warranty.

Ideally suited for all new construction, renovation and replacement projects, this system incorporates advanced thermal strut technology to provide optimal thermal efficiency and enable dual finish/color options and is engineered to deliver high acoustic attenuation. Doors are suitable for standard and ADA-compliant installations, operate on a continuous geared hinge that is fully adjustable yet minimally exposed, and accommodate most commercial hardware setups.

Combined with both inside and outside glazing options as well as pre-glazing, the systems offer maximum flexibility to provide customers exactly what they need for every job, per OBE officials.
