International Glass Industry Gathers in Germany for glasstec 2024

The international glass expo glasstec opens its doors today at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event, which runs Oct. 22-25, is expected to draw visitors from all over the world to a show floor featuring 1,250 exhibitors from 52 countries.

The trade show presents the complete spectrum of glass production, glass processing and glass products across the value chain—from manufacturing to innovative applications and technologies. Visitors can see end-to-end solutions for all segments of the glass industry, from machinery from leading suppliers with a focus on automation, technology and efficiency, to next-generation performance glass products, designed to meet changing market demands.

Additional expo highlights

  • Education. The event includes robust conference programming, focused on digital technologies, circularity and decarbonization.
  • Innovation. Once again, the centerpiece of glasstec is the glass technology live innovation space, dedicated to demonstrating what’s possible in glass. Displays this year emphasize opportunities in recyclability, 3D printed glass, structural capabilities of glass, complex geometric design, and more.
  • Start-ups. Back at glasstec is the Start-up Zone, where young, dynamic companies will be showcasing their creative solutions and forward-looking technologies, from innovative materials to state-of-the-art applications.
