First Solar Begins Production at New Manufacturing Facility in Lake Township

First Solar started production at its new manufacturing facility in Lake Township, Ohio, according to reporting in the The Blade, a Toledo, Ohio-based newspaper. The plant will produce its Series 6 thin-film solar panels. NSG Pilkington North America partnered with First Solar, and will supply First Solar’s facility with float glass. NSG broke ground on the facility earlier this year, which will be located 10 miles from First Solar’s Lake Township location.
