Monitoring app by Wood’s Powr-Grip

Wood’s Powr-Grip advanced its Intelli-Grip Technology with the introduction of a monitoring app for Android-powered devices. The app puts the same information as what is on the vacuum lifter gauges, but at a user’s fingertips, offering better access and greater detail. Lifter information can now be viewed from greater distances by multiple people on the jobsite. For safety reasons, the lifter-to-app communication is one-way. The app is only for monitoring and cannot control the lifter.

Performance software

SommerGlobal, the software for glass calculation from Rosenheimer Sommer Informatik GmbH, added WINTHS to its product, an additional program for the calculation of the climate conditions acting on glass panes under consideration of geographical location and historical weather data. The additional module makes it possible to determine thermal stresses occurring on glass surfaces in advance with regard to extreme weather data and thus minimizing the risk of glass breakage.
