A+W Software released its Smart Companion application. The app assists companies along the entire value-creation chain and contributes to digitalization, says the company. A+W’s Smart Companion also acts as a mobile information terminal, allowing employees to display locations of order components and contents of racks, making communication bidirectional. The app eliminates invalid bookings, says the company, while improving readability of each scan. Users can also scan multiple barcodes at once, such as edge labels on a rack.

The Photo​+​Measure tool provides a combination of a photographic visualization experience, along with home measurements for quoting, based on Chameleon’s proprietary color-science technology. The digital swatching suite can be used for exterior and interior selections during the design process. This tool provides users with the ability to select materials from a virtual database and collaborate with stakeholders. The tool can help customers make educated design decisions using pre-selected palettes, or design from scratch using the digital data set.

User customers can digitally sign for received material within the system, which then automatically uploads signed documents to the user database.

In collaboration with Viprotron, A+W launched iShape, which offers glass processors flexible solutions for generating digital data from templates. Older systems required special equipment and calibration, which is expensive and time-consuming. iShape is a user-friendly, easy-to-use app that allows users to photograph templates using a smartphone surrounded by reference points. The reference points fasten to a wall and correct any photographic distortions. Then the image is emailed and displayed in A+W CAD Designer, where it transforms into a stream of points defined by arcs and lines.
