Erdman Parallel Process High Speed Dura IG Line by Erdman Automation Corp.
The Erdman High Speed Dura Line produces insulated glass nearly twice as fast as a traditional IG line. Required labor is three to four operators per 1,200 or more units per shift. Other benefits include reduced floor space, reduced labor and higher quality product, says the company. Booth #2535
Digital printer
Tecglass, a Fenzi Group company, released its new Single Pass Evolution digital printer. It can reach print speeds of 29 1/2 feet in 60 seconds, in continuous cycle, on glass sheets of any width. The Single Pass Evolution comes standard with the Vitro Scan tool to ensure perfect print results. It automatically reads and records the dimensions and position of the glass prior to printing, thus reducing the possibility of error, allowing for more reliable results, making the operator’s job easier and optimizing production speed.

Temperature measurement
Fluke Process Instruments combines two devices using two different temperature measurement technologies, the Datapaq Furnace Tracker and the Raytek MP150 infrared linescanner. Datapaq profiling systems travel through heat-treatment and quench processes, recording the product temperature curves via up to 20 thermocouples cemented to the glass pane. The Raytek MP150 infrared linescanner scans each glass pane when it exits the furnace and generates a thermal image that displays hot and cold spots.

Vacuum pumps
Atlas Copco introduced its new screw vacuum pumps, the GHS 3800-5400 VSD+ vacuum pump series. The series significantly reduces energy consumption, according to the company. Optimized in the coarse printing area, the pumps have an adaptive high-performance variable speed drive with pressure setpoint control. The product also features state-of-the-art three-stage oil separation for ultrapure exhaust air over operating ranges from atmosphere to 5 megabars final pressure, according to the company.
